When it becomes illegal for the people to rebel against their own government, that is when the people are truly oppressed.

If you aren’t willing to put in the effort,

You don’t deserve it. At all. You spoiled fuck.

Socialism = state economic central planning

I really don’t see the difference.

End the Fed!

You don’t see the difference because you’re an idiot.

Praise and Fame

In our culture of mass entertainment it’s quite easy to notice that kids are growing up with familiar names in mind: Justin Bieber, Jeremy Lin, Kelly Clarkson, etc. etc. etc.

Kids literally fucking go crazy over these figures. Posters, t-shirts, bed sheets, similar fashion. It’s simply a cultural thing for our kids to care more about cute boys who sing well, amazing athletes, passionate singers than those gone unheard of.

What about the firemen who saved the most lives in the past year? What about the teachers whose kids did the best in school? What about the researchers who made the biggest contributions to finding the cure for the diseases of our time? What about the volunteers who fed the most women and children? Not a single of these are mentioned in our “popular” culture. And why the fuck not? Because they’re not “entertaining?”

These are the most fascinating, entertaining people of our time. They are the ones who make real differences in our lives. Why the hell don’t we praise them and give them the attention they deserve? God damn.

AHH

This whole project has been an amazing experience. The two of us became friends through Vimeo and explored a shared interest in timelapsing Yosemite National Park over an extended period of time. We’d like to expand this idea to other locations and would appreciate any suggestions for a future project.

Gear: Canon 5D Mark II with a variety of Canon L and Zeiss CP.2 Lenses. Music: “Outro” by M83.

Ironically, “SOPA” means “couch” in the Korean language.

I will go to the NAACP convention, and tell the African-American community why they should demand paychecks instead of food stamps.

Newt.

Finally. Someone is finally stepping up and telling the African-American community what to do to improve their lives.*

Thank you, American Hero, Newt Gingrich.

*all people of color in the US currently receive food stamps, yes? Yes. Thought so. And no white people use food stamps? Right. Ok.
